Casa Bonita

Casa Bonita

Casa Bonita is touted by some to be the greatest “eatertainment” in Denver while serving Mexican food to the diners. It is definitely an experience! Be prepared to wait in line to order and then again to pick up your order cafeteria style. Tables are available next to a 30 foot waterfall with divers approximately every 15 minutes. They have stage shows, musicians, an arcade, a place to take old fashioned pics, etc. For a family with children it could…

Richfield KOA

Richfield KOA

Our home for a few nights on our way to our 34 day National Park caravan. The staff was very accommodating and friendly and the sites for the most part are large and level. The town of Richfield is a home base for many ATVers and almost everyone here has one! You can easily ride from the park into the trails and mountains for all day adventures. The town also “allows” the ATV’s on the roads if you behave so…

Golden is the historic capital of Colorado and “Where The West Lives”. Today it is vibrant suburb of Denver with the beautiful Clear Creek running directly through town. It is also the home of Coors Brewery where you can take tours daily. While we were there it was also hosting the Golden Fine Arts Festival. Very talented artists from all over the US were there to show off their work. If you are in the area, definitely visit Golden!

The day we went up the temperature when we started was approaching 100 degrees, but at the top…

Dakota Ridge RV Resort

Dakota Ridge RV Resort

Dakota Ridge RV Resort – This RV park serves as a great central point for exploring the area. The sites are definitely a bit tight, but take your time and it will work out. Some people do not like the Biker Bar (Dirty Dogs Roadhouse) across the street, but the live music was just fine with us! It definitely quiets down by 11pm. Try the Friday night fish fry (walleye and perch) if you are hungry!
